Everon - Flood (1995)

The second album from this German band.

Everon is a quartet with a lineup of guitars, keyboards, bass, drums and vocals.
They had help from two guest musicians who provided saxophones and acoustic guitars.

I reviewed their debut album a couple of weeks ago. I quite liked that album. You can find the review here.

The band is still very much a pomp rock band. The similarities to Saga is very evident on this album. In particular, the vocals. But the keyboards is also very much in the Saga vein.

We get fifty-five minutes of pomp rock here. There is also a lot of AOR in their music too.

The guitars gives us some moderate good guitar solos. The vocals is everywhere and the keyboards also follows up the vocals.

The quality of songs.... Well, the band has taken a step backwards and in the wrong direction on this album. There is no denying that the pomp cannot hide the lack of any really good songs here.

This is a decent album and just that, I am afraid.
