Atomic Rooster - Made In England (1972)

The fourth album from this English band.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, guitars, organ, piano, keyboards, synths and vocals.

The band was joined by three guest musicians who provided bass and female vocals.

It is not easy to pinpoint the music on this album. It has such a variety of styles and music.

Take some jazz, blues, soul, funk and hard rock. That is what this album got. Chris Farlowe, ex Colosseum is the vocalist here and has contributed to this album with his own ideas. His vocals is very powerful as he was one of the best vocalists in the 1970s English scene.

The music is all over the place on this forty minutes long album. But the band leader Vincent Crane manages to keep this album under control.

The quality of the songs is somewhere between decent and good.

It is still an album well worth checking out.
