Jadis - Somersault (1997)
The fourth album from this British band.
The band was a quartet on this album with a lineup of bass, guitars, drums, keyboards and vocals.
Their main two members Martin Orford and John Jowitt left the band after the previous album and the band had to start over again.
The first album in the new era was Somersault.
The band is still giving us a wholesome serving of neo-prog. Guitars and keyboards is the solo instruments and they are backed up by drums and bass.
The vocals are OK without really being convincing.
The songs are pretty long but still songs orientated.
The quality of the songs are OK. Nevertheless, this album falls a bit flat on it's face compared to the previous two albums. The band never really gets going on this album. The songs are elegant, yes. But there is still something missing here.
This is therefore a decent to good album but nothing more than that. I hope the next album is better than this album.
