Tryo - Dos Mundos (2002)

The fourth album from this band from Chile.

The band was a trio on this album with a lineup of guitars, bass, drums, percussion, cello and some vocals.

The band continued on from their previous albums and in the same genre.

That means a mix of heavy prog and fusion.

There is not much Latin-American rhythms this time around. The music is more straight forwards power prog and fusion.

This means guitars, bass and drums dominating this album. Totally dominating it.

The music is also very naked and very much set up for gigs and live performances. That does not necessary make it good on an album.

The music is bereft of any really good melodies too and the forty-five minutes here makes for some good technical stuff, but not a good experience.

It is a decent enough album and just that.
