Gomorrha - Trauma (1971)

The debut album from this German band.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of vibraphone, flute, keyboards, organ, guitars, bass, percussion, drums and vocals.

This band released two albums and then disappeared again.

The music on this album is not easy to describe.

It is a very long album, a forty-six minutes long album where we only got LPs as the format. A CD re-release has seventy-eight minutes worth of music.

I am reviewing the LP version and that one is a bit bewildering.

Take ELP, add a lot of blues, add a lot of acid rock, add outer space rock and add a lot of hard rock. The result is basically a krautrock album.

A very heavy krautrock album at times.

It is also a bit more pastoral at times.

The quality is not there though and although it is a decent enough album, it does not really interest me. Decent but nothing more than that.
