Aragon - Don't Bring The Rain (1988)

The debut album from this Australian band.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, mandolin, keyboards, guitars and vocals.

This band released six albums between 1988 and 2004 before they gave up the ghost and split up.

The music is neo-prog again.

We are here talking neo-prog from the early Marillion era. From the early neo-prog era.

The music is pretty muscular with some Dream Theater influences too. There is also a lot of Threshold in the music. There are also some more poppy stuff here.

There are two long pieces of music here. They are all epic and pretty bombastic. The shorter pieces are also pretty epic.

The vocals are pretty good and there is a lot to feel happy about on this album.

The quality is somewhere between decent and good throughout this album.

This is still an album well worth checking out for those into melodic old-style neo-prog.
