The third and final album from this Irish band.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of whistle, guitar, flute, fiddle, bodhran, bouzouki and vocals.
I have had the reasonable pleasure of reviewing their first two albums and this is my final review of their albums.
The band is still touring.... well, not in these Covid 19 times, but they were active one year ago before the world was turned upside down.
The band is an Irish folk music band and I still do not remember/understand why I decided to review their three albums. I have a bit of a weakness for Irish music and the likes of Thin Lizzy who brought their Irish folk rock roots with them when they became a hard rock band.
In Full Flight gives us a mix of ballads and more traditional full on Irish folk music. This much more than on their two previous albums.
There is more ballads here and a better balance between the fast and the more ballad stuff.
This is their best album by far. It is still a decent album but still worth checking out.
Wild Geese flies the flag for traditional Irish folk music and they are well worth checking out.
