Great Pacific Orchestra - Fragile Things (2019)

The debut album from this Finnish band.

The band is a sextet with a lineup of guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, percussion and vocals.

I have never heard about this band before I got this album. The band is one of the many debuting bands this year.

That keeps this great progressive rock scene alive and it is great that we have so much talents around.
I could not be more happy than I am now.

The music on this three quarters of an hour long album is somewhere between neo-prog, djent and progressive metal.

The music is pretty harsh at times with some djent and nu-metal influences.

The music is also pretty melodic at times with some strong Genesis influences.

The vocals is very muscular and in the progressive metal vein. They are well suited for this kind of music.

The end result is a decent to good album where the band has not come up with not good enough stuff to really please me.

2.5 points
