Hawkwind - The Machine Stops (2016)

The 28th album from this UK band.

The band was a sextet on this album with a lineup of synths, keyboards, bass, drums, guitars and vocals.

The band has returned again with with David Brock at the helm. This band debuted in 1969 and is still going strong. Which is remarkable !

This time, we get another concept album. One hour long, no less.

The album starts out as a punk album before becoming the good old space rock this band invented.

From there on, this album takes the concept album genre route with some ambient stuff and some neo - classical stuff too. There is a lot of genre jumping on this album and variations.

There is also some funny ditties around here.

All of it sounds like Hawkwind though. The music is Hawkwind and David Brock and there is never any doubts about that.

The music is pretty much good... well, it is a good album throughout. This album does not shame the Hawkwind legacy.
