Traffic - Shoot Out At The Fantasy Factory (1973)

The seventh album from this British band.

The band was a sextet on this album with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, saxophone, flute, organ, piano, guitar and vocals.
Two guest musicians provided keyboards and clarinet.

The band is continued to be lead by Steve Winwood, one of the most gifted British musicians of all time.

His vocals and music is the core of this band and indeed this album.

The music on this album is art-rock.

Intelligent art-rock with a lot of pop influences (Elton John) and some rock influences. Some parts reminds me about Bad Company.

There are some acid folk here too and the saxophone and clarinet adds a lot of colours to the music.

The music is cleverly composed and good throughout. It is not their best album. But Traffic was a good band and I really like them.

Check out this album.
