Dottrina Degli Opposti. La - Arrivederci Sogni (2018)

The debut album from this Italian band.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of mandolin, accordion, keyboards, bass, guitars, drums, piano and Italian vocals.
The band had help from numerous other musicians who provided cello, viola, double bass, violin, flute, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion, tuba, horn and harp.... Phew !!

The band is new. The two bands whose members use this as a side-project is not new. The bands are Il Tempio Delle Clessidre and La Coscienza Di Zeno. Two excellent bands.

The music on Arrivederci Sogni is also very much in the vein of those two classic Italian symphonic prog sounding bands. We are talking about the new wine of RPI.

The forty minutes of music on this album is classic, classic RPI at it's close to best. Great vocals from the Il Tempio Delle Clessidre vocalist Francesco Ciapica. Great imaginative music from the rest of the band.

The sound is big but also very lyrical. Ditto for the music which is very poetic and artistic very well crafted.

These forty minutes showcases why RPI is such a great genre within the progressive rock family of genres. It is indeed a great album and one RPI fans will hugely enjoy. Check out this album.
