Bony. Fabrice - Inner Lands (2013)

The second album from this French artist.

Fabrice Bony does everything himself on this album. Drums, piano, computer, keyboards, bass and guitars.

Originally a drummer, he took up the guitar too and started to record albums. So far, four albums.

I got this album and his fourth album up for review.

This album is one album that brings me to adopt the label "world prog music" on the music here.

There is a lot of Native American, Chinese and Japanese folk sounds, world music on this album. On the top of that, you have progressive rock of some sort.

Neo-prog with world music is perhaps the right label. That is what we get on this one hour long album.

The music is instrumental and got a lot of guitars. Both harmonies and long solos. All of them are pretty good.

The end result is a good album which stands out for it's originality and the use of world music. It is an album well worth checking out.
