Rumpelstiltskin - Black Magician (1972)

The second and final album from this British band.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of keyboards, bass, drums, guitars and vocals.

This band is an obscure band and barely a footnote in the history of British hard rock/blues.....which is a shame when it comes to their debut album, at least.

The band tried to break USA around the time when this album saw the light of day.

The result is an album with a mix of southern rock, blues, soul and country.

The music here is much softer than on the hard rocking debut album. It is also much more calculating.

These forty minutes gives us some good musicianship and vocals.

The songs are hardly decent at all. The songs here are pretty substandard to tell the truth and this album is not worth purchasing at all.

The album to have from this band is the debut album. This album though is a turkey.
