The seventh album from this Italian band.
The band is a trio with a lineup of guitars, keyboards, bass and vocals.
Two guest musicians provides drums and saxophones.
Fabio Zuffanti, whose solo albums I am also reviewing these days, is the bassist and a regular member of this band. A founding member of this band too, he is. Great !!
The music on this album as on their previous albums is unashamed Rock Progressive Italiano.... RPI.
The band has inherited the sound and music from the 1970s great bands like Banco and PFM. And they have developed it and made it their own.
La Maschera Di Cera is one of the great and best bands of the second wave of RPI. Listen to their previous albums and you will agree.
S.E.I gives us forty-five minutes of great Italian vocals and some really flowery RPI. The band is unashamed looking back to the 1970s here and is adding their own bits too.
The songs are pretty long too and has a very lush feel. A very......... Italian feel. And there is no great shame of being an Italian and expressing the flowers, smell, language and the music of this country.
Fans of RPI will adore this album. I think it is an album somewhere between very good and great. I really like this band and I need to give their other albums, long ago reviewed albums, a spin or more.
Check out this album.
