Marble House - Embers (2018)

The debut album from this Italian band.

The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, piano and vocals.

There is a lot of new bands from Italy who plays progressive rock, but not necessary RPI - Rock Progressive Italiano.

These bands chooses a more contemporary British sound than the old 1970s sound. Neo- prog in other words.

OK, there is some Genesis here in their sound and music. The music are rather pastoral and pedestrian instead of hard and fast. There is also some Radiohead and Gazpacho influences. The same goes for Marillion influences.

There is a lot of guitars and vocal harmonies in their music. A lot of soulful music. A lot of good details.

The end result is an acceptable album. It is a good album without the big faults or great songs. It is an album well worth checking out.
