Chicago - Chicago XI (1977)

The ninth album from this US band.

The band was an eight piece big band with a lineup of guitars, woodwinds, bass, grand piano, keyboards, percussion, drums and vocals.
They were helped out by a female choir, backing vocals, synths, bass and guitars.

The band have so far had a short, but intense career. The albums has been released on a very frequent basis.

The band has moved from fusion to much more mainstream rock. The music is still brass rock and the woodwinds is always here in the sound.

There are even a classical piece of music here. Commercial classical piece, that is.

Peter Cetera is also starting to become more and more dominating in the band. His vocals is good though so that is not bad.... for time being.

Chicago XI is a very mainstream commercial album. It is still a decent enough album. It is not their best album, though....
