Genco Puro & Co. - Area Di Servizo (1972)

The one and only album from this Italian band.

To my knowledge, this was a trio with a lineup of guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and Italian vocals.

This is Riccardo Pirolli's solo album and project. He was the guitarist in Franco Battiato's band. Hence, Franco Battiato is also a member of Genco Puro & Co together with Bruno Canzian from I Pooh.

That is all I know about this album and "band".

The music is a mix of Italian pop rock and RPI.... Rock Progressive Italiano.

Most of the music here is pop rock with Italian flavors. A massive amount of Italian flavors which also comes from Italian folk rock.

The vocals are really good here and the two other musicians does their best on an album which was almost outdated when they released it in 1972. Most of it sounds like Italian beat and pop from the 1960s.

This album sounds totally out of it anno these days. The sound is good though. Nevertheless, this is an album well deserving a bypass and blissful ignorance.
