Zip Tang - Das Reboot (2013)

The fourth album from this US band.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of guitars, saxophone, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals.

Zip Tang is one of the bands who has come from the college scene and given US progressive rock new life and new blood.

Their albums is a mix of college rock, some avant-garde, some Canterbury prog and a lot of melodic eclectic prog.

On this album, there is some Gong, Porcupine Tree, King Crimson and Marillion influences in their eclectic college rock.

The music is very lively and eclectic with a lot of things going on.

The music is also mid-tempo and sometimes pretty harsh. It is the joy of life in full bloom on this album. This fifty odd minutes long album.

The music is good throughout and I got plenty of respect and love for this band although their music sometimes feels alien to me.

This is an album well worth checking out.
