Quantum Pig - Songs Of Industry And Sunshine (2019)

The debut album from this English band.

The band is a duo with a lineup of keyboards, guitars, bass and vocals.
A guest musician provides the drums.

There is a lot of new neo-prog bands coming out of United Kingdom at the moment. In particular from England. It seems like neo-prog has got a renaissance now.

The difference is that where the original neo-prog scene was true to Genesis, the new bands has taken their influences from a lot of bands.

Quantum Pig takes a lot from eclectic prog (Van Der Graaf Generator), symphonic prog, neo-prog, pop, rock, folk rock and jazz.

They have thrown all this into a melting pop and come up with Songs Of Industry And Sunshine.

The album is just over forty minutes long. The sound is good and ditto for the vocals and the other instruments.

There is no signature track here, no great track. The band and this album is a good addition to the new neo-prog scene, both worldwide and in England.

It is a good album with some surprised along the way.
