Syn. The - Trustworks (2016)

The fourth album from this British band.

The band is really only Steve Nardelli on lead vocals.
He has hired the whole of Moon Safari to do the guitars, sitar, bass, drums, moog, mellotron, piano, organ, accordion and vocals.
Jonas Reingold also adds his bass, guitars and keyboards on one track.

The history of The Syn is remarkable. The band was active between 1965-67 and the later Yes members Chris Squire and Peter Banks played in the band. But no album was released. There is some compilations and a DVD with that setup.

The Syn returned again in 2005 with Steve Nardelli and Chris Squire. Alan White was added on the second album before the Yes connection ended on the third album. Francis Dunnery played on that album, though.

A remarkable history, indeed......

To the music on Trustworks: The music is barely progressive at all. Mainstream rock is what I would label the music on this album. The lyrics and indeed the music is very optimistic and light. It is very uplifting indeed.

Moon Safari is doing a good job and ditto for Steve Nardelli. The music is lacking in quality, I am afraid to report. It is somewhere between decent and good. I may check out their first three albums later on.
