Wappa Gappa - A Myth (1998)

The second album from this Japanese band.

The band is a quintet on this album with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

I really liked their 1996 debut album Yamataikoku. It had a good mix of pop, prog rock and jazz.

They returned two years later with this album A Myth.

I believe the vocals are in Japanese. The vocalist is again Ms. Tamami Yamamoto.

The jazz bit is not so much present here as it was on the debut album.

The music on the one hour long long A Myth is much more neo-prog. Neo-prog with female vocals.

The British female fronted neo-prog bands and wave springs to mind.

The vocals is still very good.

The songs here are all good. The album is still a bit of a backwards step from the debut album.

Both albums are still worth checking out and this band is a good band.
