Octavio Sendero - Como Lograr Despegar En Un Unico Intento (2011)

The debut album from this band from Argentina.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, synths, bass, effects, percussion, guitars and Spanish vocals.

I know next to nothing about this band, I am afraid. They have released two albums. Two very different sounding albums, I have heard. I am also reviewing their other one this summer so I will soon find out.

This album gives us fifty minutes of South American prog. Prog with roots in the Argentine prog scene.

The music is a mix of psych and neo-prog. There is also some space rock hanging around here.

The sound and music has a cool vibe throughout with some long, wailing guitar solos on the top of some spaced out synths. The vocals are really good too on the top of that.

There is some space rock fests inbetween the melodic songs too which makes this album a lot more interesting and worthwhile.

There is also some good avant-garde stuff here.

It is indeed a good album and one to check out as it is criminally unrated and ignored. Check out this good album.
