Watershed Drag - Practice & Peril (2014)

The fourth album from this US band.

The band is a one man band from John Huxley. He plays the guitars, bass, synths, programming and some vocals himself.
He has got help from a female vocalist.

This is the last sign of life from this band and I guess John Huxley has given up this band. The albums are name your price albums on Bandcamp and worth a listen or download.

The music here is female vocals fronted neo-prog. Just as on their previous album.

References are mostly Touchstones. The music is pretty hard and at times bordering to progressive metal.

This album is a bit short, clocking in at twenty-four minutes. As a download album, that is OK as there is no reason to cry foul here.

The sound is good and so is the musicianship and the vocals.

The music is somewhere between decent and good. There are some good ideas here and it is a bit of a shame that the band has given up the ghost.
