Transport Aerian - Therianthrope (2017)

The fifth album from this band from Belgium.

The band is Hamlet on guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals.
He had help from numerous other musicians who provided dulcimer, hammond organ, violin, spoken words, hurdy gurdy, chapman stick, keyboards and vocals.

This is the second album from this project I have heard and it is also so far their latest album.

Hamlet continues down the same road as on the previous album. Some pretty dark, avant-garde post metal.

The sound is still pretty positive and not all out gloom. There are indeed some prog here too.

Most of the album is small musical pieces who follows each other on a random basis.

Avant-garde it is, indeed.

The quality is pretty decent throughout. I am failing to connect to this album so I am a bit lost here.

Nevertheless, fans of avant-garde gloomy post metal should like this album better than I do. I am not a fan of this album.
