The second album from this Italian artist.
Marco Grieco plays all instruments and sings on this album. That means guitars, bass, keyboards, programmed drums and vocals.
Marco Grieco released his debut album under the name MacroMarco back in 2009. A rather good album if my memories serves me right.
So he is back again this year with the follow up album as well as working for other artists.
The music is neo-prog. Symphonic neo-prog.
There is little or no references to the good old RPI scene. The sound here is the English neo-prog sound.
Marco has added a lot of classical music references to his brand of neo-prog. The music sounds original and a bit different from the normal neo-prog fare.
The music is pretty epic throughout. Epic and bold.
The vocals are mostly multi-layered and so is the instruments.
The music is really good. What makes is very good is the classical music influences and that elevates this album from being a good album to a very good album. The music is indeed innovative.
Check out this album.
