Keor - Petrichor (2018)

The second album from this one-man project from France.

Keor is the project of Victor Miranda-Martin. He does the guitars, vocals, Mellotron, synths and programming here.
He has got help from three guests who does mandolin, clarinet, piano and orchestral percussion.

I have not had the chance to hear the 2016 debut album Hive Mind. But I have heard I should get this album and I may do so too.

Keor gives us a wide variety of music. From post rock to djent to prog metal to symphonic and neo prog.

The music is very modern progressive rock and it may be in the direction of forward looking progressive rock is heading. It probably is.

The sound is very big and ditto for the music which is pretty bombastic throughout. It is also very hard at most times.

There is also a lot of moods and emotions in this music.

The result is a fifty minutes long album who sometimes feels like an opera. It is also a good album which deserves a lot more attention. Maybe I should get the first album too.....
