Molly Hatchet - Take No Prisoner (1981)
The fourth album from this US band.
The band was a sextet with a lineup of drums, guitars, slide guitars, bass and vocals.
The band got some help from some guest musicians who provided female vocals, percussion, keyboards and a horn section.
The band returned again after selling zillions of their previous albums.
Take No Prisoner did not......
The music on this album is an honest, blue collar mix of southern rock and hard rock.
The music is pretty hard and screams U S A all the way.
The three guitars attack gives the music a strong guitars vibe, and that does not comes as a surprise. The music is also driven by Jimmy Farrar's pretty muscular vocals.
Unfortunate for the band, there is no good songs here. Their cover of Little Richard's Long Tall Sally is more a murder than a cover.
This is still a decent enough album. But stick to their first three albums.
