Colour Haze - CO₂ (2000)
The third album from this German band.
The band is a trio with a lineup of drums, guitars, bass and vocals.
This German band is one of the leading bands in the fuzz/space rock genre and has released albums who proves that.
It is therefore my joy to review these albums and I am doing it this year..... all of them.
This album sees the band finding their formula. A formula they, with some small variations, has been following since this album.
Space rock is the genre here. Space rock with a lot of post-rock influences too. Make that; a mix of these two genres.
The bass-drums-guitars setup works very well here on these forty minutes. The title track clocks in at eleven minutes.
The sound is good and dirty. Ditto for the vocals who sounds a bit forced, but suits the music perfectly.
This is indeed a good modern space rock album from a band now hitting their strides.
