Satellite - Into The Night (2007)

The third album from this band from Poland.

Satellite is a quintet on this album with a lineup of bass, drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

Satellite was formed after the demise of Collage, the grand-father of all neo-prog bands from Poland and responsible for this scene.

Poland has always had a great neo-prog scene and Satellite is one of the best bands in that scene. Was one of the best bands in that scene.

Into The Night is a forty-two minutes long album. It sometimes crosses over to symphonic prog. But never into the rock and pop genres.

The music is neo-prog. There is some Pendragon influences here. But not so many. Satellite does their own things on this album.

The music is pretty bombastic and very soulful throughout the album. The sad and mournful sound is the essence of neo-prog from Poland.

The keyboards, guitars and vocals is very good on this album. Some songs are also very good. The album has a lot of interesting details and a couple of great moments.

This album is one of the highlights of the Polish neo-prog scene and the neo-prog scene world wide. It is indeed a great album and one you need to check out.
