Brimstone - Paper Winged Dreams (1973)

The one and only album from this US band.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, clarinet, organ, grand piano, synths and vocals.

The band released this album as a private pressing and they gave up the ghost in the 1980s.

The band is as rare as a symphonic prog band from the USA. I am not sure if we can even call it a scene as USA is a vast, massive country of 50 distinct states.

The band was based in Ohio. This album has not got much attention. It should get a lot more attention as the album is easy available.

And so is the music.

Take some good old Barclay James Harvest and some folk rock hippie moods, add a lot of Genesis too and you get this album. There are even some Yes influences here.

The music is not bad at all. This album is quite a gem and has some good stuff.

There are not enough good stuff here to label it as a good album. Nevertheless, this album is well worth a listen through Youtube.
