Zookeeper's Palace - Deliquesce (2016)

The second album from this US band.

The band is a sextet with a lineup of percussion, drums, keyboards, guitars, bass and vocals.

The band released their debut album Red Sky Ruminations back in 2012. Both that album and this album is self-released.

Their music is a mix of US neo-prog and progressive metal. There is also some hints of grunge and post-punk in their music. More than just hints, in fact.

The eight songs on this forty minutes long album is not long.

There is not much going on of interesting details, melodies and melody lines either. The vocals is good and the band does their best.

The music is decent enough and just that. The band-name is good and that is that. The music is not good, I am afraid.
