Nektar - Man In The Moon (1980)

The eight album from this British band.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of bass, guitars, keyboards, drums and vocals.

Roye Albrighton was back in the band again after the rather unsatisfactory 1977 Magic Is The Child album.

Nektar reformed for Man In The Moon and Roye were back.

Unfortunate, the band did what the other prog rock greats from the 1970s did. They dumped progressive rock.

There is some elements of krautrock and the usual Nektar's take on progressive rock here. That is true. Most of the music falls down in the AOR genre.

The music is actually not too bad. This is a better album than Magic Is The Child, but not by much.

There is some interesting details here who elevates this album. The fact that Nektar sounds a bit like the Nektar of old is also a very good thing here.

This is a decent to good album which is not going to be much played in my household, I am afraid.
