Red - Red (1983)

The one and only album from this British band.

The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, percussion, guitars and keyboards.

This is one of the more obscure bands and albums to come out of the British prog and fusion scene.

Which is a bit of a shame as this album would appeal to a lot of people in the fusion and progressive rock scene.

The music on this album is a mix of heavy prog and fusion.

There is both Rush and Mahavishnu Orchestra influences on this album. The lack of woodwinds gives the music a lot more rock sound than a jazz sound.

The sound is really good and the guitars really rocks off and also has a lot of jazz licks on this album. The keyboards are not bad either. The rhythm section is also doing a good job.

The music is pretty good at times. There are some interesting parts on this album.

There are also some not so interesting parts too and that makes this album an album somewhere between decent and good.

Check out this album on Youtube or in a second hand LP shop.
