Companion - Reap The Lost Dreamers (1975)

The one and only album from this US band.

The band was a trio with a lineup of guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals.

The band was an offshot of the more known band Leviathan. That was also a Tennessee band.

Companion gives us forty-two minutes of light psych and progressive rock.

The album starts with an OK version of Blackbird, the classic song from The Beatles. That song is not representative for the rest of this album, though.

There is a lot of the 1960s hippies in their music. There is also a lot of The Moody Blues like prog on this album too. Symphonic prog.

The sound is the typical early 1970s sound. And it is a good sound.

The music is decent throughout. It is a nice album which is nice there and then. It is not rich on textures and intricate details. The more psych orientated material is the best on this album.

This is a decent enough album, well worth checking out.
