Old Prospectors - Eureka! (2019)

The debut album from this band from USA.

The band is a trio with a lineup of keyboards, bass, drums and guitars.

The cover art work and their own labeling of the music I found on their Bandcamp attracted me to this album and I therefore got a copy of it.

Being a seventy minutes long album, it offers up a huge mouthful of music.

In this case; instrumental music with a mix of stoner rock, psych rock, funk, fusion and some hard progressive rock.

The music on an album like this and with the same length has to be really good to catch the full attention of the listener. It is not an easy genre.

The album feels a bit too long and should had been cut in half. Two albums is in this case better than one album.

The musicians does their best on some material that is not really good enough. Stoner fans may disagree with that sentiment as this is essentially a stoner rock light album.

This is a decent album but nothing more than that, I am afraid.
