Zuffanti. Fabio - Fabio Zuffanti (2009)

The second solo album from this Italian artist/legend.

Fabio Zuffanti does all the instruments here and I guess from the sound that this means programming, keyboards and vocals. Italian vocals.

Fabio Zuffanti is a legend in the Italian Progressive Rock scene. As much of a legend as Steven Wilson and Roine Stolt is legends.

During his remarkable short life, he has been involved as musician, mentor and publisher in a lot of the new bands in the RPI scene. His stamp mostly means quality although I did not like his debut album Merlin at all.

I am much more a fan of the likes of Finisterre and Hostsonaten... some of his other bands.

This album is forty two minutes long and the music is mostly electronica and ambient music.

There are some piano and keyboards in addition to his own very good vocals.

Minimalism is the keyword here and there is a lot of that here. A lot of it is created by computers, it has to be said. There is a lot of electronica here.

I am not really won over. But this is a decent album and worth checking out.
