Melange - Melange (2016)

The debut album from this Spanish band.

The band is an eight piece big band with a line up of sitar, guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, carillon, saxophones, viola, electric organ, organ and Spanish vocals.

I know next to nothing about this band. Make that; absolute nothing.

Melange takes on a journey through some raga-rock, fusion. folk and space rock. The music floats around and makes a good soundscape.

This is mainly an instrumental album where even the Spanish vocals is more instruments than words with meaning.

There is a nice glide and float on this seventy-three minutes album. The music is mainly performed with keyboards, bass, drums and guitars. But there are some weird sitars, synths and woodwinds here too who adds lots of colours.

Nice colours, it has to be said.

The quality is between decent and good. Seventy minutest is a bit long in the company of music like this music.

Then again, this album will appeal to those who liked spacey music. Check it out.
