Everon - Flesh (2002)

The sixth album from this German band.

Everon was a quartet on this album with a lineup of guitar, bass, drums, percussion, piano, keyboards and vocals.
The band had help from guest musicians who provided violin, viola, cello and female vocals.

I have reviewed their first five albums during the last months and you can find these reviews somewhere else in this blog. I will also review their seventh and final album sometimes soon too.

First of all, it is my understanding that this is an album of some leftovers from the record sessions who ended up as their previous album. The music has been cleaned up so it can be released.

I am not sure what this cover art-work is doing on this album. Is this album a death metal or a doom metal album ? Neither, in fact.

The music is a mix of progressive metal, Saga and pomp rock. There are some long songs and two female & male vocals duets. The music is bombastic and a bit over the top at places.

The vocals are really good and so is the music on this fifty minutes long album. It is not their best album. But it is still a good album from a good band.
