Anima Sound - Stürmischer Himmel (1971)

The debut album from this German band.

The band was a duo with a lineup of bassoon, tapes, drums, fuchshorn, bass and vocals.

Anima Sound released two albums in 1971 before they disappeared without a trace. The Fuchs couple was the members of this band.

The album starts with some bleathing from a lamb/sheep. And it is from there one pretty clear where this album is going.

Cosmiche krautrock is the direction.

There is hardly any music at all on this forty odd minutes long album.

We get some female screaming over some sound effects and tam tam drums. There is some sporadic bass here too and some bassoons.

That is all.

There is no direction here and no purpose. Cosmiche krautrock is normally far better than this album.

This album is therefore a turkey and a waste of time. It is also a pretty painful listening experience.

Avoid !!!
