Madden & Harris - Fools Paradise (1975)

The one and only album from this Australian duo.

The duo was Dave Madden on guitars and vocals & Peter Harris on mandolin, guitar, harp, violin, sax, synths and vocals.
They had help from a bassist and a drummer.

This album was released in 500 copies and then sunk without a trace. A Korean label re-released it so we could enjoy it again.

The music has it's basis in the 1960s folk rock. Add a lot of light pop from the 1960s and the 1970s too. This album sounds like Sir Paul McCartney meets Fairport Convention.

Add some subtle classical and jazz influences too and you get this album.

The vocals are really good on a not so complicated music. There is not technical complicated music here. Just some songs and vocals.

The instruments like mandolin, guitars and synths are adding a lot of value to this album too.

This album is a hidden gem and it deserve a lot more attention. I am so glad I found this album. It is indeed a good album and one to really enjoy.
