Constantine - Day Of Light (2015)

The debut from this one man project from USA.

The band is Constantine Hastalis on mellotron, guitars, bouzouki, percussion, piano, bass, drums and vocals.
He has help from a long list of musicians who contribute with a long list of instruments. Sitar, woodwinds, strings, organ, tabla, vocals.... etc etc

The art-work caught my attention and draw me in. Ditto for the listing in ProgArchives.

The band has so far released two albums and I will review the second album as soon as I can.

The music on this forty-five minutes long music is acid folk rock.

Acid-folk with some raga-rock and some eclectic prog too. There is also some faint smell of English apple orchards in the air when listening to this album. The good old English folk rock bands from the early 1970s is good references. Even Led Zeppelin sneaks into their sound with some obvious references.

And yes, there are some flower-power here too and some indie-rock.

The vocals are both male and female. The songs are all good and Constantine has delivered a really good and cool debut album which should win them a lot of fans all around the world.
