Birth Control - Birth Control (1970)

The debut album from this German band.

Birth Control was a quartet with a lineup of drums, organ, bass, guitars and vocals.

This band has released ten plus albums during their long stop and start career. I got some of them and will review them this year/you find some more reviews of their albums somewhere else in this blog.

I believe this is one of the biggest German bands from the 1970s.... but I may be wrong. Feel free to correct me.

They started out in the 1960s as a hard psych band and that is how they sounds like on this album too.

Take Nice and add some hard psych and blues to their music. The music is pretty hard and the organ is the dominating instrument here. The guitars adds some spice. The bass and drums is rock hard. The vocals is good and the sound is OK. This album sounds like it has been released in 1970 too.

The music is actually good throughout. A bit dated, but still good. Mostly because of the organ sound which is both old fashion and very good.

This is an album well worth checking out.
