Baleia - Quebra Azul (2013)

The debut album from this band from Brazil.

The band was a sextet with a lineup of violin, guitars, synths, piano, bass, drums and vocals.

Nothing much is known about this band although they released their final album two years ago. Their website is down and has been erased. That is never a good sign.

Nevertheless, I will review their first two albums.

.....Starting with this one. A forty minutes long album.

The music on this album is pretty laid back mix of local language tropico, pop, rock, jazz and progressive rock.

The vocals are female vocals in Portoguese.

The music is pretty pedestrian, laid back and with a Latin-American feel.

The vocals are good and there is nothing here I find offensive.

The music decent enough but nothing more than that. This is an OK debut album from a band who has to do better on their second album. I got that for review and I hope they have done just that.
