Ramses - Light Fantastic (1981)

The third album from this German band.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

I reviewed three of their in total five albums some years ago for # 1 of this blog and quite liked the albums.

I discovered this left-over album in my Billy CD shelf and decided to review it as soon as I could.

The music on this album is a mix of neo-prog and rock. There is also some metal here. But not much. Add some symphonic prog too and you get the drift.

The vocals are OK and the guitars does a good job.

There are some hints of Lucifer's Friend and Uriah Heep on this album.

The quality is not that good though and this album has a couple of cheap and nasty songs. There is also a couple of good songs here too.

The result is a barely decent album and just that.

Check out this band if German prog is your thing.
