Be Bop Deluxe - Sunburst Finish (1976)

The third album from this British band.

Be Bop Deluxe was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, guitars, bass, tubular bells, harmonica and vocals.

This band is a strange band and a bit of a oddity in the prog rock and the pop scene. I have reviewed their first two albums, reviews you can read somewhere else in this blog, and I still don't know what they were up to.

I prog rock with some pop influences is the best label for what we get on this forty minutes long album.

There is even some ska on this album too inbetween some prog and pop in the Supertramp and David Bowie direction.

The music is pretty clever and the vocals is good. The music is also pretty quirky.

The music is a bit on the anonymous and dull side of the spectrum too. A couple of ballads with long guitar solos also falls a bit flat on their face.

The album is decent enough but just that. I am not really impressed by this album.
