Out Of The Beardspace - Endless Pursuit (2017)

The second album from this US band.

The band is a seven piece big band with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, percussion, keyboards, flute and vocals.
The band was helped out by a sextet who provided trombone, saxophone, upright bass, violin, percussion and vocals.

I was not particular impressed by their 2012 debut album III. The band was all over the place but the quality was not that good. See my review somewhere else in this blog.

The band are back again with another long album. Seventy-nine minutes is a long album.

The band has not changed much style either. If anything, they have worked on it and managed to refine it.

What comes clear for the listener is that the music is Urban-Progressive Rock from New York, USA.

That means a lot of psych rock, melodic neo-prog, some urban rap and hip hop music, a lot of laidback jazz, some fusion and some pop and rock music.

There is no denying that this is a big chunk of music where something is decent and some parts is really good. This album is really working though and gives the listener a lot of pleasures throughout. It is indeed a good album, full of urban landscapes. Check it out.
