The ninth album from this UK band.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of saxophone, brass, timbales, keyboards, bass, drums and vocals.
The band had help from numerous other musicians who provided trumpet, brass, keyboards, guitars and extra vocals.
I have reviewed all their albums and have found a great band to really get into.
I have though heard a lot of very bad things about this album though.....
And these rumours are spot on.
Free As A Bird is a pop album with a lot of brass and 1980s bad style. The sound is the typical 1980s pop sound. Third rate pop music.
The music is frankly awful and shocking bad on this forty-four minutes long album. It is style wise nowhere near their other albums.
This album is a turkey and best avoided all together. Awful, awful, awful.
