Ars Nova - Fear & Anxiety (1992)

The debut album from this Japanese band.

The band is a trio with a lineup of bass, drums and keyboards.

The band is also a girls band. Which sets them apart from the rest of the scene.

I have reviewed a couple of their albums for Progarchives. But strangely enough not more than that.

I will see if I can dig up some more of their albums from my collection. The last album they released was back in 2009.

The band is very obsessed by ELP, Trace and those bands who sounded like ELP. That means cascades of keyboards on the top of bass and drums.

Some of these bands comes across as human where some more organic stuff is being implemented. Other bands again just do cascades of synths and keyboards.

Ars Nova is among the latter ones.

The compositions is not good at all with only a couple of sun rays among the cascades of nothingness.

Half an hour of this is enough. And that is the length of this album. A decent enough album but nothing more than that.
