Be Bop Deluxe - Futurama (1975)

The second album from this British band.

Be Bop Deluxe was a trio with a lineup of bass, percussion, drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
They had help from some guest musicians who provided brass and double bass.

Bill Nelson was still at the wheels of this band after the not so great debut album. You can read my review of it here.

The band still has a very quirky sound and music. David Bowie is a good reference. So is Supertramp.

The music on this album is a bit harder than on the debut album. It is also far more bombastic and symphonic.

The bombastic music also comes up with some wild guitars..... and some rather catchy melodies and songs too. There are even a couple of very good songs here inbetween all the quirky melodies.

I cannot say I am a fan of this album. But I have to admit there is something really good with and on this thirty-five minutes long album. There are even something very charming about this album. It is an album well worth checking out too. There is something about this band.......
