Tubo Elástico. El - Impala (2018)

The second album from this Spanish band.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion and programming.
A guest musician contributes with Chapman stick on one track.

This is their second album and both were released through Bandcamp.

Their music is among the least commercial and financial rewarding genres you can think off. Instrumental prog.

Take some post-metal, post rock, fusion and prog metal. That is when you get this album.

An album among very many in this genre and with the same type of music and vision. It is hard to come up with something really good in this genre.

The post rock influences are the best here and by a country mile. It is when the music becomes a bit pastoral post rock it really shines.

That is not often enough and this album is not really offering anything new.

Nevertheless, this fifty minutes long album is a decent one and will give fans of this genre what they want. I am not won over.
